Independence Celebration

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Join us at the Independence Celebration presented by Comcast at Centennial Park West with a free concert featuring How Rude (link name to their page https://www.howrudeband.com/) followed by Presentation of Colors by the Veterans Voices Military Group to salute the men and women of the armed forces, National Anthem by the Village of Orland Children’s Theater Troupe and pyro‐musical firework production!

Pack a blanket, lawn chairs, your favorite snacks and beverages as How Rude plays the best of the 90s hits! Concert begins at 7:15 PM. Food trucks including TCBY, Salubrious Stop, Sausage Food Truck, Nicky’s, Kona Ice and Fatburger will be on-site. Beer, seltzers and wine will also be available for purchase for those 21 and over.

Free parking is available in the Metra station parking lot located north of Jillian Rd. and Park Station Blvd.  Reserved ADA Parking is available 15609 Park Station Blvd. and ADA drop-off is located at Park Station Blvd and Somerglen. Additional event parking is located at Centennial Park (east of train tracks) at Metra Orland Park and 153rd Street Station (10499 W 153rd St). 

DIRECTIONS

(From north)
–LaGrange/US-45 South to 153rd Street, west (right) past train tracks to Park Station Blvd. Turn left on Park Station Blvd to stop sign (Jillian). Turn left into Metra parking lot.

(From south)
–LaGrange/US-45 North to 159th Street/US-6, west (left) past train tracks to Park Station Blvd. Turn right on Park Station Blvd. and follow into Metra parking lot.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Only residential access with passes will be allowed on Somerglen between 108th and Park Station Blvd as well as 153rd and Sheffield Square Pkwy between 6-10pm. The Village of Orland Park CSO’s will be enforcing resident access with Special Event Resident Access Passes issued to residents living within the Colette Highlands and Sheffield Square subdivisions for the Centennial Park West Concerts to provide access within the subdivisions for the Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4 starting at 6 p.m. If you have not received your passes, they may be picked-up at the Village Hall cashier’s office weekdays (M-F 8 a.m.  to 5 p.m. and the first and third Monday of the month until 7 p.m.). Please bring valid identification to receive up to 4 passes per residence. Only residents of the Colette Highlands and Sheffield Square subdivisions will have access at designated intersections on July 4,13, August 2, 3, 4 and 17, 2024 (event times vary per day).
