Proudly serving Veterans since 1991.

The Village of Orland Park Veterans’ Commission was created in 1991. One of the commission’s first tasks was the creation of a suitable veterans’ memorial for the Orland Park community.

In 1993, the board continued the community’s quest of a memorial and appointed the project team of the Veterans’ Commission to oversee its creation.

Designed by world renowned sculptor Virginio Ferrari, Orland Park’s memorial – “Ara Pace’, Place of Peace” – was dedicated on November 11, 1995. Describing his intent, Ferrari said, “What I wish to express with this sculpture is the endless potential of creative forces continued within the simplicity of the circular form”.

Apple Chevrolet (8585 W 159th St. Tinley Park) will be hosting multiple military care package events in 2024. These dates are:

Stop by on the day to drop off care package items, volunteer to prep care packages and donate for postage! Free lunch will be given to all donors!
