At approximately 11:06 p.m. on November 20, 2023, the Orland Park Police Department responded to a call of a vehicular accident on Southwest Highway just north of Will-Cook Road. Upon officer’s arrival, it was discovered that a Toyota Sienna was traveling southwest on Southwest Highway when it collided head-on with an Oldsmobile Bravada which was traveling northeast on Southwest Highway.

The driver of the Sienna was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Bravada and passengers from the Sienna were also transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Orland Park Police Department Traffic Unit who have conducted an accident reconstruction with the results pending.
