Requirements

No Appearance Review or $50.00 fee payment is required for residential roof flush-mounted solar panels. Commercial solar panels, and all other types of residential solar panels, will still require the submittal of an Appearance Review.

• Appearance Review (Must be Notarized)
• $50.00 for Appearance Review (Residential / Multi-Family, $150 for Commercial)
  Must be in the form of a check made out to "Village of Orland Park"
• Express Permit Application
• Electrical Permit Application
• Owner Consent Form / Signed Solar Agreement
• 3 copies of Structural Analysis
• 3 copies of Plans
• Conduit Path Photos

The Appearance Review must be submitted in person or by mail. 

All contractors need to be licensed with the Village; solar panel installation requires an Environmental Technologies registration. The contractor registration fee is paid annually; we also require a copy of your electrical license.
