Intersection Solicitation

A permit is required for solicitation including, but not limited to, solicitation at intersections and door-to-door.

Intersection solicitation is standing in or on any street, roadway, or highway for the purpose of soliciting contributions from the occupant of any vehicle. In order to participate in an intersection solicitation fundraiser within the Village of Orland Park, you are required to have a permit.

Title 7, Chapter 5 of the Village Code

Please note: Your organization must be involved in a statewide fundraising campaign and this solicitation must be part of the campaign in order to be approved for the permit.

Obtaining a Permit
The following items (numbered) need to be submitted to the Clerk’s Office at least 30 days prior to the first date of solicitation:

  1. Application
  2. Letter from the attorney general verifying current charitable organization status (View example)
  3. Certification of Statewide Fundraiser. All Insurance forms conforming to Village insurance carrier requirements
  4. Certificate of Liability Insurance (View example)
  5. Certificate of Insurance
  6. Hold Harmless Agreement
  7. Additional Insured - State or Political Subdivisions - Permits
