The Orland Park Police Department is currently hiring police officers for experienced as well as entry-level positions. The Police department is one of the most visible Village departments and, through the vigilant enforcement of laws and ordinances, works to keep the Orland Park community safe.
This position necessitates the responsible performance of protective service work in the prevention, detection, and investigation of criminal activity while actively promoting and directing citizen involvement in these efforts.
We are seeking individuals who possess the ability to follow complex oral and written instructions, exercise initiative and discretion in emergency situations, employ levels of force when situationally and legally necessary, follow departmental training and protocols, communicate effectively, and interact with the public consistently, respectfully and professionally.
