This state of the art park was built by the Village of Orland Park in conjunction with Orland Township. Our baseball themed dog park features off-leash areas for large and small dogs, separately fenced agility training areas, doggie/human drinking fountains, seating, and shaded areas. “The Dogout” is a member’s only park. Dog Park Rules

  • Users of this facility do so at their own risk. The Village of Orland Park and Orland Township are not responsible for any injury or damage caused by any dog in the off leash area.
  • “The Dogout” is restricted to members only. In order to obtain a membership, proof of vaccinations will be required. Vaccinations must be kept current.
  • Member’s identification must be worn and visible at all times. A $10 fee will be charged for lost key cards.
  • Please keep your dog from jumping on other dogs or people.
  • Pick up waste and dispose of it in the receptacles provided.
  • Owners are responsible for the actions of their dogs as well as any injury, damage to property, other dogs or the public.
  • Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Children 5 and under are not permitted in the off leash area.
  • A handler age 16 or older must be present at all times and is solely responsible for the actions of their dog(s).
  • Dogs must be leashed prior to and leaving the park. Owners must carry a leash at all times.
  • Collars must be worn at all times. No pincher or spiked collars are permitted, as they are dangerous when playing.
  • Keep your dogs in sight and never leave dogs in park unattended.
  • No aggressive dogs allowed. Dogs with a known history of, or who exhibit aggressive or dangerous behavior are prohibited. Immediately leash your dog and leave the park if aggressive behavior is observed.
  • A limit of two (2) dogs per person allowed at one time. Both dogs must remain in the same run area with their owner.
  • Large dogs, 30 pounds and over, are not allowed in the small dog area.
  • Dogs in heat are not permitted in the park.
  • Puppies must be at least 4 months old to use the park.
  • No food of any kind, including dog treats, is allowed within the fenced area.
  • A veterinarian issued record of immunization must be attached at time of registration. Titering will be accepted with verification from veterinarian.
  • Given that you will be in a wooded area, we strongly recommend that you treat your dog with some form of tick prevention.
