4 p.m. – Christmas Parade

4:30 p.m. – Holiday Festival opens

5 p.m. – Official Tree Lighting at Village Circle

OPEN TO ALL AGES!

Kick off the holiday season right here in Orland Park with our annual holiday festival, tree lighting and parade. Festivities will include the spectacular lighted decor display on the village lawn, holiday market with crafts, holiday items and food available for purchase, live entertainment and much more. Santa will be joining us to complete the holiday fun. The parade begins at 4 p.m. immediately followed by the festival. Join us at 5 p.m. at the Village Hall Circle for the official lighting of the holiday tree. 

CHRISTMAS PARADE

The parade will feature over forty local businesses and organizations with decorated floats, vehicles, music and hundreds of walkers including marching bands, dance companies, theater groups and the special arrival of Santa!

The parade route runs north on Ravinia between 151st to 147th Street starting at 4 p.m.

Parade Street Closures
Ravinia Ave. from 151st to 149th Street:  2 p.m. – Until parade conclusion
Ravinia Ave. from 147th to Civic Center Drive: 3:30 p.m. – Until parade conclusion

HOLIDAY MARKET

Our holiday market will feature a variety of ready to eat foods, beverages and winter holiday themed products including handmade jewelry, nature themed décor, natural skincare products, Christmas ornaments and gnomes. Visit our onsite sponsor & vendor booths inside the Civic Center for free giveaways and fun activities.

Holiday food vendors include: Augie’s Kettle Corn (kettle corn), Bee Cool Products LLC (honey), Beggars Pizza (pizza), Bobalicious (boba tea), Daisy’s Treats (cake, taffy apples, dipped pretzels/cookies), Gigawatt Coffee Roasters (coffee), Orland Youth Cooking Committee, Stan’s Donuts & Coffee (donuts), Taqueria Mi Taquito (tacos, burritos), Village of Orland Park (hot chocolate), Village of Orland Park Beer and Wine (domestic & craft beer, red and white wine), and Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods (gourmet pickles)

COLORING CONTEST

Share your artistic talents in our holiday coloring contest for children up to 10 years old. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. Download the coloring page, print it out, color it and drop it off at Village Hall, Sportsplex, Cultural Arts Center, Orland Park Health and Fitness or Franklin Loebe Center (FLC) by 12 p.m., Wednesday, November 22nd.

COMMUNITY TREE TRIM

Gather your family or group and celebrate the start of the holiday season at our 8th annual community tree trim. Scout troops, youth and church groups, athletic teams, and community members have adopted 20 trees to decorate in their own special way. The community trees will be part of the spectacular lawn decor at our Holiday Festival, Sunday, November 26 and will remain on display at the Village Center through January. 


ORLAND PARK LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS TREE & WREATH SALE

The Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths daily, starting November 24 until the trees are sold out.

FRI, NOV 24:  10 a.m.–6 p.m.  |  MON–FRI:  4–7 p.m.  |  SAT:  9 a.m.–7 p.m.  |  SUN:  10 a.m.–4 p.m.

SANTA'S PIT STOP at Sportsplex

LOCATION: Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th Street

Join us for this magical day when Santa makes his annual stop at the Sportsplex. No fee or pre-registration necessary.

 

CHILDREN'S NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATION

DAY/DATE: Sunday, December 31  |  TIME:  11 a.m.-1 p.m.

LOCATION: Centennial Park Ice Rink

Join us at our fifth annual children's New Year's party and ice skating celebration. Skate your way into 2024 with a DJ, refreshments and fun.* No New Year's celebration would be complete without party favors and the BIG countdown! Be sure to bring your camera to capture the memories. Please note: both children and adults must register. Skates included with registration. No discount for providing your own skates. Registered participants will have exclusive use of the ice rink during official event hours of 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
